The Semicolon Hope Project was started by Susan Hudik of Bling Chicks for Suicide Awareness and Prevention. She wanted to give back to the mental health community with hopes that this message of love would help just one person. Bling Chicks is donating these hand stamped keychains and tokens to organizations that work to prevent suicide. Handmade with love, each of these pieces has the national suicide prevention help line, and a semicolon with the word "HOPE."
The carrier of this keychain will know that there was someone that cared to make this for them, whom they will probably never meet. The message of HOPE that tomorrow will be a better day is an important one. Having the hotline number on the piece makes sure that help is at their fingertips no matter where they are.
Depression happens to 1-5 people in their lifetime. Mental health is such a hot topic in today's world that we should NOT feel weird about talking about it, but we do. So often those who need the help the most, are the most silent about their troubles.
The Suicide Prevention Hotline has been one of the biggest resources for those who face suicidal thoughts. It has helped millions of people over the years who feel overcome, find hope for a better tomorrow.

Bling Chicks has added the semicolon in honor of Amy Bleuel who started Project Semicolon. May her legacy for helping millions of others continue. She was such an amazing advocate for mental health issues.
