Bling Chicks is pleased to announce that it is creating a new line of jewelry and ornaments to help support breast cancer awareness. Inspired by the Dragon Dream Team, Ohio’s first all breast cancer survivor dragon boat team, Bling Chicks is designing a complete line of handmade personalized artisan jewelry and ornaments.
The idea started with creating a commemorative ornament for a special friend who was a member of the Dragon Dream Team. The 2018 World BCS Dragon Boat Championship in Florence, Italy ornament was such a hit with other team members and friends, soon requests were coming in for more. That led to the idea of the Bling for Breast Cancer line that will include a variety of handmade “dragon boat” jewelry (cuff and charm bracelets, earrings, key chains and more) featuring dragons, paddles and the symbolic breast cancer ribbon.
The Dragon Dream Team started in 2007 and includes women of all ages and backgrounds, from newly diagnosed to long-time survivors. Inspired by the courage of the dragon and the power of the paddle, the Team celebrates survivor-ship through all its activities including BOATLOADS of HOPE breast cancer outreach.
